What “verified” means

Trust & safety

We are asking someone to let a stranger into their home, with their keys and their animal. This page says exactly what we check, what we do not check, and what happens when something goes wrong.

What we check

  1. Identity, with an ID and a selfie Every sitter photographs a photo ID and takes a selfie, on our payment processor's page. They run the check, automatically. The document never reaches us and we store it nowhere — we only receive the verdict.
  2. The phone number Through a code sent by SMS. Behind every profile there is a person who can be called.
  3. The profile, read by a human Before it appears in search, the profile passes through someone on the team. This is not a formality: a profile that is not serious is rejected, with the reason written down.

What we do not check — and why we say so

A platform that suggests it has checked more than it has is more dangerous than one that checks nothing: it takes away your caution and gives you nothing in return.

What protects you during a booking

When something goes wrong: either side opens a report from the booking. The payment is suspended, the team reads what happened and decides — a full refund, a partial one, or the payment goes through. The decision comes with a written explanation that both sides read.

We will write when we open in your city. No marketing in between.
